State Senator Kesha Ram-Hinsdale spoke with the Richmond (Vermont) Racial Equity group and the Climate Action Committee group on the evening of April 6, 2022. Senator Ram-Hinsdale briefed the attendees on the reasons for and status of two bills she is sponsoring — S.250 and S.148.
S.250 focuses on police accountability — qualified immunity, transparent data collection and reporting, transparency in police conduct issues — and S.148 focuses on environmental justice — no Vermonter bears more than their share of environmental burdens and that all Vermonters benefit from reliable renewable energy, and so on.
