Book Group in September/October: “me and white supremacy” by Layla F. Saad

By | August 26, 2020

The Richmond Racial Equity group will be conducting a book group discussion series in September and October, focusing on the groundbreaking 2020 book “me and white supremacy” by Layla F. Saad. (Visit the book’s own website here: https://www.meandwhitesupremacybook.com/)

Our sessions will take place on Thursday evenings at 7 via Zoom. Our first meeting will be on September 3 to discuss the structure of the group and the pace — properly studying the book includes a lot of self-examination and journaling and we want to make sure we don’t take things too quickly.

If you’re not familiar with the book, you can also read about it here: https://www.npr.org/2020/07/06/887646740/me-and-white-supremacy-helps-you-do-the-work-of-dismantling-racism.
